Instrument Panel Compatibility

Postby b.l.hayward » Thu Apr 08, 2021 8:58 pm

Hi all - does anybody know if the 3.6L/4.0L instrument panel (connections/instruments/fixings) is compatible with the V12, please?
TIA

Not sure for the pre-facelift models, (pre- and post- facelift are quite different) but in the face lift cars, while the overall panel is the same there are individual differences between V12 and 6 cylinder cars, such as the Tacho, and also changes within the production runs.

Thanks for the insight. I should have said circa 1986 ie pre facelift. Did the facelift models stop using the dreaded 'barrel' gauges for temp, oil etc?

Yes, indeed; a much more 'conventional' arrangement:
