Dashboard Lights upgrade

Hi, I have a 1995 XJS 4.0 Facelift, I would very much like to upgrade as many of the dashboard lights as possible, I can't believe how dim they are! I guess LED would be the order of the day? If anybody can recommend a supplier for the bulbs that would be great .
Also maybe please warn me of any problems I might encounter whilst changing them.
I am sure this topic has been covered before, but it seems to be on just the earlier models.
Many thanks Simon

Simon,
A couple of thoughts:
- LEDs seem to be polarity specific so must be inserted the correct way round
- there seem to be huge variations in prices. Do your homework on the different prices and types of LEDs that can be used
- some people seem to have experienced some minor problems in terms of certain bulbs illuminating dimly all the time. I THINK this relates to the issue of voltage differences causing some confusion in the circuitry.
Good luck
Paul

...
Assuming these late cars still have a dimmer to adjust the illumination, it might be worth checking that it's not burnt out.

Paul,
Its a fair suggestion but the facelift warning lights are so dim, especially in convertibles, that it's almost dangerous.

Hi, I do have a dimmer switch, It seems to be working in as much at it ranges from Dim to very Dim!!! It's a good point and worth a look.
For what is a fairly modern car, I can't believe how bad the lights are.
Many thanks for your comments. Simon
