trip computer

1989 V12 XJS trip computer not working only shows time I have tried disconecting and reconnecting and also tried another unit with no joy
Some one suggested it is the sender unit which they thought was in the boot anyone know where it is?

From your description, it sounds as though the interface unit would be agood place to start troubleshooting? ] ]

HI, I have a xjr-s 6.0 1989 v12 and unfortunatly it has a zytek ignition! the interface unit on the normal model is in the boot on the top left......but does any one know where it is in my car as my trip comp says im getting 60 mpg? any help would be appreciated?
