Alternator issue - advice please

Hi all,
Automotive electrical engineer came and confirmed mine was the alternator sadly so its now been replaced (not cheap at £150.00 for alternator and £230.00 labour by local garage - apparently seized bolt added to time taken) and all good with 120 mile round trip to very enjoyable Bicester Scramble today . Thanks to all who assisted me on this thread.

Glad to hear its all sorted and at least you've now got a new alternator, so it seems like a reasonable result
