Battery replacement

Hi,
Just wondered if somebody could help
I have an XJS coupe V12 89 and requiring a new battery
The one that I received is unfortunately to big to fit in the car even though they say it’s the correct one for the car.
Can someone steer me in the right direction please

Unfortunately a lot of the battery retailers quote incorrect sizes for XJS batteries. Even some of the good retailers have incorrect info. This is slightly exacerbated by the fact that the XJS battery size changed over the life of the model.

Measure your existing battery and I'll you what model type that is.

As regards price and quality, I also use Tayna a lot. Good choice and price.

If I remember correctly from when I had a 1991 V12 Convertible, I ended up having to trim the base of the battery to get it to fit properly into the battery space in the boot. Not an issue if you do it carefully, the base of the battery is shaped to allow the clamps to fit, so there is extra meat in the area.
