Hi All,

Pop Rivet;
To recap on the fault. When the ignition key is turned to position 2 all the status lights light up across the dash (perfectly normal) if the Check Engine MIL stay's illuminated for 2/3 seconds then extinguishes there is no problem starting the engine you just turn the P3 and away it goes. If the Check Engine flashes when key is turned to P2 then the engine will not start it will turn over until the cows come but wont start because when the MIL flashes there is no spark at the coil. If this happens I have to switch ignition off and start again sometimes thats once sometimes 5 or six times. When the engine does start it runs perfectly until you stop.
I will photograph the ECU when it comes back.
No offence taken regarding is it a standard vehicle, that was the first thing I thought when I started delving into it but all the Vin/Chassis numbers check out and it is a genuine one. Trouble is I'm the 4th. owner.
Paul Sinnot:

Have returned ECU to Zytek they found a 15 second in-activety fault in the memory. This has now been returned and I shall fit the unit tonight and sse if the problem has gone away. Zytek have also sent me a wireing diagram which I've scanned and saved as a PDF so if anyone needs it just shout.

Re: XJR-S Zytek Ignition
Hi Graham, the PDF of the Zytek diagram might be useful to me, I have a TWR XJS with Zytec management, which is working well currently but I like to have as much information handy for the future.
Kind regards Bill.
