New facelift headlamps?

Hello all,

Just browsing September's magazine and I see the request from Rob Jenner on a proposal to reintroduce the facelift headlamp by JLRCP. One change under consideration is using plastic lenses rather than glass, for cost reasons.

My view is that I would prefer a direct replacement of the original with glass lenses, with plastic being a second choice. Maybe the cost difference could be shared and we could give some indication to JLRCP via Rob what our collective interest is? If you are interested, please email Rob.

Either way, I am very keen to find replacements for my lamps which are slowly shedding their silvering!

What are your thoughts?

Either way I just hope we can get the option to buy new at a reasonable price.

Headlights are fairly easy to get but the rears are a different proposition altogether - would it not be better to produce the rears first?

BTW - there are several companies that can re-silver existing headlights which I am considering.

Yes I definitely need a new near side one.....

I hope that other items will also be made too....carpets being one of them.
