Boot Won't Lock

Hi All,

Finally got my XJS and whatever I do, I can't get the boot to lock. Not even with the key!
The seller reckons that the boot locks/unlocks with the central locking (and was fine) but this certainly isn't the case.

I've pulled the boot lid liner back and found a loose connector and some cut wires coming from the lock barrel...

Do these orange/green & orange/white wires happen to control the lock/unlock actuator?

Yes, orange/green and orange/white connect to the boot lock motor.
