Suggest you have a word with Gil Keane of Better Car Lighting. He is very helpful and what he doesn't know about Jaguar compatible LEDs isn't worth knowing.

Hi all, I've just changed my '79 XJ-S's dash bulbs for LEDs, and have (possibly) 2 problems:

1. When I select L or R indicator, as well as the correct LED flashing, the other one gives a very quick (and not as full on) flash immediately after the correct flash. When I switched back to the original bulbs, the problem disappeared. Is this a fact of life with LEDs, or do I need a different one?

2. When do the seatbelt light, the brake light and the low coolant light come on? Are they supposed to be on at ignition? If yes, (and mine don't) then is it likely I've blown a (or a couple of) fuse(s)? I had a look at the ones under the driver's dash, and the fuses looked ok, but I didn't pull any to closely check.

In hindsight, I should've checked the normal dash light status before changing to the LEDs; I have tried switching back to the bulbs, but none of those 3 above come on with ignition or when engine is running.

All other dash lights seem to be working fine, as are the instruments.

Thanks, Ray.
