The Ultimate Alarm problem

Postby prushen » Sat Aug 05, 2006 7:57 am

HI every one, This is a real plead for help.
I now have the ultimate alarm problem. My great car is now unusable?

I went to open the car using the key fob (the alarm started working properly a few days ago, no help from me ) then the alarm triggered, all the bells and whistles going!! The fob had no effect at all, at the same time it took a few goes with the key to unlock the boot to disconnect the battery.
Now I can start the car with the full alarm going, then I disconnect all leads from the module, alarm stops but the motor keeps going I can drive it, all other functions appear to work, But I have to go though the same procedure to restart it.
Do you think it needs a new alarm module? Dose anyone know if it’s possible to get the old one tested?
I have tried running a separate earth from the middle connecter ( black wire with yellow trace to ground, it looks like this should earth the starter solenoid, It didn’t work. I am totally out of ideas.
Peter.

Have you tried searching the archives at the JagLovers site? JL isn't the easiest to trawl through but there is a vast amount of knowledge in there, I would guess that someone has had a similar problem at some time.
