Has anyone come up with a method of tightening the headlight adjustment/mounting nut for the standard headlights on a Suffolk SS100?

Did you ever get your headlights sorted?

Yes bodged it with gaffer tape and chewing gum! In truth I did not need to alter the setting for the MOT and a ring spanner mod has not yet come out of my workshop.

My lovely wife has suggested that she invests something into our SS100 and we are considering changing the headlights. We have the standard Suffolk lights at present but I think the replica Lucas QK596 look a little better and also seem to fit together better. I would be grateful if any owner could tell me if they perform well and if they have used both the QK and standard headlights tell me what differences you have found. I do tend to drive my car quite a bit and even at night so good lights are essential.

I’d like to help but I don’t know what the standard light are like I can tell you QK headlights look great but the light they give is not that good However the matching QK spotlights more than make up for the headlamps. They are quite impressive. I did try to replace the headlamp bulbs with LED but couldn’t find a match anywhere for the bulbs supplied. Hope that helps.
