It's finally out there!!

:D Sorry chaps, but as we don't have a section for recreated XK120 "C" Types, and it is a Suffolk, I thought you wouldn't mind too much if I post here that " Il Gatto Grande" has been tested by Jaguar World and is featured in the latest issue.
The only glaring fault I could find was that they have said at least 3 times that it is a 4.2 when I paid extra to have a 3.4 like the original and of course the registration number will be different.
Strangely, I still haven't seen the car in it's finished state as I am still awaiting the DVLA to get the V5 sorted but as the weather is getting warmer, I don't mind a little wait.

Looking forward to seeing the car.

No doubt you will be posting some pics.

Perhaps we ought now to have a "C & D" section under "Replicas".

Looking forward to seeing your C in action, meanwhile...

Hello Roy,

I don't think there is much chance of that as I will probably be the only one posting there and you know my history of keeping cars for as long as it takes to get the carpets dirty which, in the case of the "C", won't be long as it doesn't have any!!
Nice picture of your SS, but why are you all alone, you haven't been at the garlic bread again have you?

Hello Chaps,

Well, despite their best efforts to stop me getting my car on the road, the Disastrous Vehicle Loathing Association have finally completed the V5 correctly and rumour has it that the car will be with me by next Tuesday. Luckily I won a bottle of Champagne at the ExCel Classic Car Show so we will be able to toast its arrival in style, except I don't like Champagne but SWMBO does. More details to follow.
