Latest You Tube from Jay Leno's garage with the XJ13 replica / tribute, commissioned by a past acquaintance of mine from work days. What a machine! Enjoy.

Sorry folks, initial posted link was one that was sent to me as a preview. This one should now work.

XJ13 is still my favourite Jaguar!

I have been fortunate to see it a number of times, including when it was started up at the JEC event in Blackpool in 2022.

I was also present when Neville Swales (whose company built the car in the Jay Leno video) first built his XJ13 replica. he brought it along to the London Motor Show at the Excel centre. He had just finished the car and it was fitted with one of the six fabled quad-cam engines that Jaguar had built and Neville had found it in Germany.

We had a stand just behind him and he told me that he was thinking of starting up the engine (without permission from the organisers!). At 3.30, he plucked up the courage and started up the engine. It made a fabulous noise and a crowd quickly formed. He ran it for a few minutes and then presumably was forced to shut it down. A great memory! If I had the money, I would undoubtedly buy one of his cars with the newly-manufactured quad-cam engines. Just beautiful bits of kit!
