I cant get my speedo to work correctly after removing.
The needle fluctuates, and then stops.
I can here it clicking somewhere behind the clock.
I changed the 90 degree angle device with the same problem.
I've tried to tighten the locking spindles as much as possible, with know success.
I have taken the clock in and out more then 5 times now with no luck.
The cable is engaged at the gearbox end.
Speedo not working.

Re: Speedo not working.
As it's described, there isn't an obvious answer to this issue. Presumably, you say the cable is engaged in the gearbox because you can't turn it at the speedo end. An old cable may be damaged or twisted. A physical examination along its inner and outer lengths should rule that possibility in or out. The inner cable should be lubricated only sparingly leaving the top 12" free of lubricant to avoid lubricant damaging the speedo head. The head itself can be tested using an electric drill to see if it performs normally with and without the angle drive being attached. I hope these suggestions help solve the problem. Mike.
