XJ12 Wiring Loom Connections?

Hi. I have 2 questions concerning XJ12 Wiring Loom Connections, ie, what do they connect to? Background that I am using a 1987 XJ12 Series 3 as a donor vehicle for a 1975 XJ12 but made the mistake of removing the loom from the former thinking that it would be obvious to transplant - reality is that it took an unexpected 10 years to get around to the refit (I had a heart attack) where it has indeed (mostly) been obvious. However, there are 2 twin wires that seem to have nowhere to connect to ... details (and therefore questions) as follows:

1. There are 2 wires that come out of the front bit of the Ignition Switch (orig 1975 Ign Switch) - one wire is Blue with White Line, the second is Blue with either a Red or Brown Line. The terminating plug is an offset positive/negative type configuration. See picture:

I cannot find anywhere under the dash where these wires might connect to (into the 1987 Loom). An Ohm Meter shows that there is (almost) continuity when the Ignition Switch is turned from 0 to 1, 2 or 3, ie, no continuity at position 0. Might these wires have something to do with an Alarm System? Would the 1975 vehicle have had an Ignition Immobiliser type of device?

2. Found taped up within the 1987 loom under the dash was a further 2 wires terminating in a similar type plug ... wires colours Red with White Line and the second wire is Black. I believe that Red with White Line are Dashboard Lighting Positive Wires and the fact that these wires were taped up suggests that they are not used. See Picture:

Not such an important question because the wires were taped up - any idea what this connector would have been used for?

I would really appreciate any clarity on the Ignition Wires, thanks.

As an aside, I did contact a chap (Tom) from Jag Schemes in Australia who sells Jaguar Colour Wiring Schematics with a view to purchasing from him, but never received a response. Had hoped that this might have answered my Question 1. Any recommendations for purchasing wiring schematics that are any good? Trouble is that I would like to see an example of what I might be buying to determine whether the product is any good ... a simple question, but why don't sellers respond to questions?

Anyway, pleased if anybody out there can help answer Q1 ... Q2 was just curiosity unless it might be for an important ancillary.

Hello Wolfie,

blue/white is main beam colour and blue/red is dip, so that pair are associated with your lighting. If they are small diameter they are ancillary, relay feeds or such? Pure guesswork on my part as I'm not familiar with XJs. They definitely are related to your ligts however.

As you said red/white is panel illumination live and black is earth.

What, if anything is not working?

I have not yet got as far as 'discovering' what is not working, but knowing that the wire colour indicates a Main and Dip Lighting Circuit stops me looking for anything serious within the dash that I cannot find a connection for. This will certainly help me later when I do connect my lighting circuits.
