Trim removal

Hi all Any one know how to remove the trim panel below the steering wheel. I need to get at the brake light switches without breaking my back or the trim panel!!! Thanks Bernie

Hi For information.Its held on by one push in plastic plug (a little like the under bonnet engine cover) and spring clips. Remove the plug and pull the panel straight back towards the seat. I bent one spring clip but managed to reform it. Bernie

Hi Still on trim but this time on refixing cloth to interior trim. I had cloth detaching from the two trim panels each side of the screen. It can be re-glued with spray glue a used by carpet fitters. A two second squirt on both surfaces and its done. Take care though as its contact adhesive.Bernie
