3 Jags on the trot, 2 in the last 3 months, what's going on? I wasn't even in the cars for any of them.

Steve,
Unlucky! Bizarrely, that person then seems to drive down my road and do the same to my XJS!

typical...
you might get lucky , that looks like white paint on top of your blue, it may well come off with some careful rubbing with a clay bar etc
unless it has dug in and gouged out to the primer

Not just Jags I afraid. My new Mercedes A45 was side swiped in a supermarket car park whilst we were shopping. Came back and big groove from front to back including a groove through the wheels. No sign of the person who did it but fortunately one of the Eastern Block car cleaners saw it happen and took a picture of car driving away!
Contacted police who fortunately tracked down owner and it was his wife who had been using car for shopping. Said it was not her as she did not notice anything unusual happening. Police looked at ther car and saw all my paint on her bumper and then she said she had heard a noise but thought it someone else.
She then admitted it and police left her alone once she had provided insurance details.
Put claim through and it cost over £4k to put right and her insurers denied liability as she said she was at work when it happened so could not have been her. Mercedes accident management team put solicitors on the case and told her they had pictures (which they did not at the time as the witness had moved on) but she then admitted it and all was settled.
Glad of the help from the sharp eyed cleaners.
Need more helpful/honest people.
Regards,

Nightmare!
We're currently trying to recover payment from one of our neighbours who rammed my wife's car last month whilst it was parked up minding its own business. You'd think that a neighbour would be be really embarrassed and would be only too grateful not to go through insurance and take advantage of a heavily discounted repair bill as a result of a favour through a friend. Not so; despite all this we're now looking at payment by installments or having to go through insurance after all... and all the awkardness thats comes with when good neighbours go bad.... /sigh
