Visiting XJS

HI Everyone,
Can some one help please. I am coming over to the UK for July and August, driving the XJS from Spain. I would like to find a garage / or what have you, to keep it in, somewhere near Bournmouth Airport. I can offer time in my Spanish holiday home or cash.I have been promised a banger? to run around in.

Peter,

Don't park it up!

Why not be like the rest of us in the UK and get used to getting caught out in the rain with the roof down, paying exorbitant petrol prices to fill up the XJS and enjoy the wonderful sound of the XJS burbling away and envious glances from other motorists as you sit stationary on the M25!

England - don't you just love it!

Hi, Peter

I recently saw a late model XJS on the Costa Blanca with a tow bar at the front. It wasn't you by any chance, was it? I'm curious to know why anyone (except perhaps a 4x4 driver) would need to have one on the front?

Regards,

Keith.

Don't know either, but i did know of someone who had one on the front of his volvo, it was because the slipway on his local lake was quite narrow and he had better control of the car and boat/trailer by pushing the assembly into the water rather than reversing it

Drat! That tow bar has been bugging me - I was hoping to have found out the answer! Never mind, I'll be back out there in February, so I'll just have to look out for it again and risk getting run over as I chase him down to road in order to quiz him. Thanks for responding, anyway, and good luck with your search for a garage in the UK, although I have to say I'm with Paul's comment on using it to get around. Thanks to Wolf, too for the Volvo explanation.

Keith.
