XJS Forum Badges

Postby ptjs1 » Thu Apr 13, 2006 5:52 pm

With the London to Brighton run on the 30th April and also the FBHVC 'Drive It' day on the 23rd April, we felt it would be helpful if there was an easy way for Bulletin Board members who are attending this or other events to be able to identify each other. Then we can all see exactly who is GlennH, poprivet, Mark_B, SimonR, dh dove & ng4xjs to name but a few!

Therefore, we’ve designed a windscreen badge which will identify JEC XJS Forum members by their Bulletin Board id and help us all to put a face to the stories!

I make no apology for having pinched this idea from the JWM Forum, but they do say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

The badge will look as below (better quality, in fact), but naturally with your own user id.

So, if you want one, drop me a private mail or an email with your Bulletin Board id. I'll then create one for you and email to you as a jpeg file which should be relatively easy for anyone to print. Print it out on some photo paper or perhaps laminate it and it'll look really good.

It's designed it as 6” x 4”, but if you’ve got a problem printing it, drop me a line and I’ll try and help.

Here’s hoping we’ll see plenty of Forum members on the 30th!

Thanks Paul, I've only a black and white printer, but as my car is white with black bumpers perhaps it won't look too out of place

It makes sense to me that the cards are displayed in the same area to make identification easy. I like Gordon's placing in the lower drivers side of the windscreen so I will do the same.

Hi Paul,
My email is on its way too.

Any thoughts on how to turn it into a label/badge to wear whilst walking about the shows ?

Julian,

Thanks for your interest.

I suspect that a 6" x 4" badge is a bit obtrusive to wear as a lapel badge, so I would print a smaller version as well if you intend to wear it.

The easiest way might be to put in one of those plastic pass holders that you get given at work or that you pinch when you are a visitor to places - you know the sort! Pinch the pass holder first and then work out what size badge to fit!

Badge on its way to you. Any problems printing, please let me know.
