XJS Section reaches milestone for JEC Bulletin Board!

On Friday we reached a quite significant milestone for the JEC Bulletin Board as the XJS Section achieved its 12,000th post. It also seemed fitting that this post was from our newest Bulletin Board participant, and in recognition, I have sent him one of the Jaguar Heritage Parts & Service Manuals for his 4 litre XJS Celebration.
The XJS Section has always been the most popular area of the Bulletin Board since its inception late in 2005 and now comprises over 33% of the total Bulletin Board posts (the next most popular section being the XK8 with over 6,200 posts). It’s perhaps not surprising as our membership records indicate that, with over 1,300 cars, the XJS is 4 times more popular than any other model in the club.
The Bulletin Board has become a great source of technical information and social engagement between members. Although sadly the Bulletin Board is not frequented by the club’s technical advisers, the collective input of other members, many of whom have a great technical knowledge, is often sufficient to provide advice, if not the definitive answer, on most issues. The Search function within the Board enables members to research and review previous posts. With 12,000 posts made, it is quite likely that any technical question on the XJS has been asked and answered before!
So, congratulations and thanks to all those who have participated in the XJS Section! Let’s look forward to the 15,000 mark!
