Classic and Sportscar showcar pre HE XJS in black

Hi everyone. I have just bought a black pre HE car which I am told was used on the JEC show stand at the NEC last autumn. Does anyone know anything about the car? It looks to be very original and in lovely condition. My only dislike is that it has later wood rim wheel and coloured body stripes on the side. These are clearly personal taste and not difficult to remove. If anyone has any photos of the car on the stand or information I would be most grateful.

Hi there, check your Personal Messages!

Yeah I saw the car at the NEC least year and it certainly looked a really tidy S. Congratulations on such a lovely and relatively rare purchase.

It would be interesting to know how the driving experience of an early non-HE V12 compares to the later engined car.

Enjoy, and don't forget to post a few pictures of it ;-)

Hi Old Wrek,

I have a couple of photos of your car taken at the NEC. Reg no. XJI ****
A very nice car in superb condition as I recall.
They're a bit big to post on here, if you'd like to PM me with your e-mail address, I'll be happy to send them to you.
Regards,
Glenn.

Hi Andrew,
It isn't possible to attach files to a PM so I can't send them to you that way.
I'll have to put them on one of the photo hosting websites and put the links in to a PM. The sites I've found so far have a file size limit of 1 Mb which will mean reducing the size or quality of the photos. I'll look for one that allows larger files.
I'll drop you a line when I've sorted it all out.
Regards,
Glenn.

Hi Andrew,

Check your PMs, with a bit of luck you should be able to access the photos unless I've been overcome by incompetence again. :)
