Looking forward to seeing this cat at the BB event end of April - oh, and Northern and Southern days if I can try my luck in persuading Vince to attend both :D

Hi Vince

You should be REALLY proud of that lovely car!
It's a little different from when I last saw it all those years ago........

Great to hear you'll be at the Gaydon do, I'll add you to the list.

I'm sure the MoT will be fine , unless you should get a spotty youth who's never seen a proper car.......
In which case you'll just have to educate him...... 8)

NB Suggest you clear the mantelpiece and polish it ready for incoming silverware........

Beautiful!!!

I'm not a great fan of side skirts and suchlike on most cars, but on this one they are spot on!

Make sure to get some silver polish for all those trophies! :D

Cheers,
Joakim

Very nice, shows a very impressive attention to detail. Was it an XJR-S to start with or did you have to source all the Jaguarsport parts as well? If the latter, hat off for what must have been quite a task.

The de-chromed parts on the grill contrast really well with the white body and the bodykit blends in very well and looks natural on the car. Its difficult to tell from the light in the pictures but did you de-chrome the rain gutters and side windows? Looks like you left the front windscreen trim as original?

I think you made a bold but spot on decision about the mulberry interior, it works really well with the white and the interior wood trim. A gentleman's club on wheels for the 1980's, stark and clean lines on the outside, traditional and comfortable on the inside!

am afraid its a humble HE ,
but , it was a ' special order ' HE , with sports-pack suspension , sport-spack interior , with double stitched all leather , sports steering wheel , with a factory fitted sunroof . and all the optional accessories one could throw at it in the day , including front fogs, which i am debating over fitting, the original wiring is there ready to roll. plus a ' green tint ' glass pack , but not sure if all XJS's of that age got the green glass ? she also had a leaper over a growler on the bonnet , and a full length bonnet chrome to the leaper from the windscreen , i have these parts , but am unsure about spoiling the lines at the moment.

i have only really added the bodykit and the wheels , the rest is original , White over Mulberry was its original spec , and i even managed to find a full set of original sports-pack pinstripes in flame red over quicksilver ,

all the chrome is as it should be around the windows and gutters ,most of it new , it just doesnt how up in the pics with the thirty seconds of sunshine we had when taking the pictures

the front has had ' my treatment ' in that i fitted a facelift grille , and sports-pack headlight surrounds in black , they are not painted ones, they are original new parts from Jaguar ,

thanks for the comments

i am currently snagging little things to get her to the MOT on Wednesday morning ,
