Got broke into.......

Postby Brakebuster » Fri Dec 21, 2012 1:23 pm

I'm not a happy chappy

My garden got broke into and they took my three custom hand built racing bikes worth about £2500.........
Specialized Allez Campagnolo equipped
Bianchi Via-Nirone 7 Campagnolo equipped and fully Bianchi'd up
Wilier Triestina Escape , 90% built

to say i'm pissed is an understatement

they pushed the wheely bin to the eight foot high double wooden gates that are 23mtr up my drive and climbed over , then rummaged around my bike rack and sheds and went into the garage,

all they took ( this time ) was the three bikes , at least they are insured , but it will never be the same

Merry bloody christmas........

Im sorry to read that BB,
My sympathies go with you. My bike is my commuting vehicle as well as a pride and joy.

Hope something turns up and that you do indeed have a Merry Christmas.

Vince,
very sorry to read of your news. I presume they didn't touch the car. Nothing worse than knowing someone has been through your things. Maybe something will be done. Just had the house alarmed last weekend and the garage will be done after New Year. We're of to Germany tomorrow and back on Thursday. So you have a good Christmas with your family.

huge symathies from here too BB, we reguarly get stuff nicked from here, usually two alloys at a time, remarkably you can get two alloys with tyres in the boot of a 40, cynical or what, but we are convinced it is some one we know, which makes it even worse, especially when you know where we are located you HAVE to know where we are and where the stuff is kept

Could Brad winning the Sports Personality award have something to do with your break - in, they must have fancied trying it for themselves. Time to think about the meaning of 'disproportionate force'?

Might be worth putting the word about local cycling clubs and shops. Your bikes must reappear somewhere. Meanwhile I feel for you; bikes built up personally are a special thing.

Have as good a Christmas as is possible after this.

Me also. It’s the thought of someone going through your personal effects. As bad in many ways as if they had managed to get into your home. Really hope they get their come-uppance!
