Anyone had any problems here with the in-tank fuel pump on the 4 litre engines ? Mine let me down during the 'Entente Cordial' in 2001 in France. When transported home it turned out to be the fuel pump power supply connector at the top of the tank. Poor electrical contact ! Replaced it with an attached piece of flex and never gone wrong since.

Mine went earlier this year, same fault. In fact, I believe many cars had the problem, in about 1994 Jaguar changed the design, more robust connections used.
I managed to get hold of the new set up at a reasonable price from a parts supplier in the USA, new pump module, new evap flange and new harness. The new pump connectors and harness plug do not fit the older style evap flange
