Hi Kerry
Join the XJS Club Midlands (www.xjsclub.org - it costs a tenner to register your car) and they have headlining kits for most models; yours is £174 I think.

Do you think the XJS Club Midlands could possibly supply a JEC XJS Bulletin Board member without charging them ten pounds to join?

We're all equals here aren't we?

Hi dh
Unfortunately you have to be a member to access the shopping pages! The £10 is a one off fee to register your car (not you) and there are no further charges unless you change or add a car.
I'm not recommending them or anything, just stating it as it is.

Replacing the headlining on one of these cars is really quite straightforward and not complicated. Tricky bits are positioning the biscuit to get it out of car (passenger side on RHD), although once achieved you then know how it goes back and removing the old adhesive is the other pain.

I think, for me, if the biscuit is serviceable (and even some of the earlier cardboard ones survive) I would then move on and do the job. Half is already done as you would have removed everything that needed doing to get the old one out.

I replaced the headlining on my most recent XJS acquisition last year and I think it cost me about £40 including the necessary aerosol of high temperature adhesive, and about 2 hrs work.

I'm sure there are many on this forum who have successfully carried out this work and would be happy to share their experience.
