Brooklands Regional Day

It was great to see a good turnout of XJS's.

As they are now being outnumbered at these events by their newer cousins, it's interesting to compare their relatively low height, sleekness and stance. The XJS is certainly becoming more rare as the years roll on and the ones that remain are obviously well looked after and holding their values well.

My personal XJ-S favourite of the day was a beautiful red pre-facelift coupe on a F plate, although I did admire the members who gave it what for up the Test Hill!

If you were there please tell us all a little about your day.

I missed this event. Sounds like you had a good one. Okay, I'm biased, but I would completely agree that a well presented XJ-S on the road is worthy of many admiring glances!

An excellent weekend and the weather was very good unlike today when it is pouring again! I enjoyed Saturday afternoon at Mercedes Benz World; a fantastic facility. I spent an hour on the track sections in an AMG saloon which handled impeccably, a pity my driving could not also be described as such! Also a pity Jaguar do not have something like this to display all the Heritage cars. Maybe one day in a joint venture with Land Rover?
Some wonderful cars at the Surrey Hants Border Spring meeting, highlights included the recreation of Mike Hawthorn’s Jaguar 3.4 saloon and the ex Denis Jenkinson E-type. The Test Hill on Sunday afternoon was interesting with even a Mark 10 going up. There are some pictures on the JEC Facebook page.
