Nuts / bolts for air inlet grill covering wiper motor

Hi Folks

The two studs with domed nuts on the air inlet grill, immediately in front of the windscreen have sheared off.

Can anyone advise what size these are and where they can be sourced?

I'll need to take the air inlet off and remove the motor to get at the studs...anyone know how these are attached?

I thought I had a loose windscreen as there is a loud "thwak" when I go over bumps, but now I think it may be the loose air inlet. With the wiper motor / mechanism attached I imagine it weighs quite a bit, and could be responsible for the noise.

Hope for some advice.

Stuart

the rest of the grille is held in by the two bolts on the scuttle gutter, undo these and lift out the entire grille, the wiper mech will come out with it, there is a multiplug on it, unplug and remove

the ' cotton-reel ' mounts are available from Jaguar, the nuts however are aluminium , and corrode onto the brass studs, they can be rescued, but usually chew up

new ones can be bought, but are expensive

all available from the JDHT

BB....Many thanks for that.

Just checked JDHT...they have everything except the nut!...typical.

I'll contact them and see if they can order.

Thanks again

Just an update...bought most of the parts at JDHT, but got the domed nuts at SNG Barratt...a bit pricey at just under £5 each, but hey. If anyone else needs these parts, they know where to go.
