No XJS Over Christmas

My XJS is at Hollygrove Jaguar, waiting for a new transmission and a host of other stuff, including new shocks and brakes all round. I was hoping to have her back before Christmas, but it turns out they won't even be starting until January! :( Job will take a few weeks too so I'll be lucky to get her back before February.

I feel like a kid who got a new toy at Christmas...only to have it confiscated!

Was really hoping to have some time over Christmas to do a bit of tinkering..now what am I going to do?!!!

I wish I'd brought her home now....but they did say driving her at the moment was a bit of a risk. Just hate the thought of her being out in the cold and rain for a few weeks.Do you think I'd be unreasonable to ask them to bring her inside?....

Jolly bad luck!

No I don't think it's out of the question to ask them to keep her inside - they can only say no! At least it gives them some idea that it's a cherished car and maybe they'll take more care when they do the work.

Failing that, I'll drop mine round to you if you want something to tinker with - I'd really appreciate it if you could cure a few electrical gremlins, oh, and stick a pair of new front wings on it!! ;)

Nice try Simon!....electrics definitely ain't my thing!!!..

I think I'll drop in next week and just see what they're up to...and see where they are keeping her. It's amazing...I don't usually feel so protective over cars.....must have the xjs bug bad!
