Hahaha - it apparently is if it's the ex-JDHT Cabriolet.

Take a look here: http://www.jec-xjs-forum.org.uk/xjsbb2/ ... php?t=1404

Maybe someone'll buy it for that, I won't though.... ;-)

Blimey - is all I can say.

Do you think my lowly 1994 Coupe could ever achieve such a value

just cuz he's asking that price, doesn't mean its gonna sell for anywhere near that.......

and nobody has mentioned the profiteering that going on with this, ,,,

he's some sort of enthusiast that bought it from the JDHT eh ?

Does Clive Sutton not realise that the price he paid for it is well known?

All this advert says to me is "Don't go to Clive Sutton, he overcharges!"

At least he has knocked £5k (£34950 - Bargain!)off but to be honest I don't think that even with the history it cannot be worth much more than what it went for at auction, otherwise someone would have outbid him!

A good businessman NEVER reveals his mark up.

Most of the time a dealer can justify his mark up with warranty, work carried out etc, but the value in this car is it's history, which you can do nothing to improve!

This sort of thing heppens all the time (mainly in the SE of England)and really annoys me. The underlying tone to the first thread linked above ^^^ is that anyone who wanted that and the other cars at silverstone would have known and bought them there and then, so it is just ridiculous to advertise it at nearly twice the price not even a week later! It just leaves you wide open for a proverbial thrashing!

£35K? Haha! Good night Albert!

Unless this is aimed at overseas buyers who are looking to take advantage of the lousy £ exchange rate. It if sells, then fair play!

By the way:

FOR SALE:
1989 Jaguar XJ-S V12 HE Coupe, 59K, FSH, 4 owners, rust-free, Artic Blue

An XJS is the ideal car for a saudi oil baron!
but not for people like me with shallow pockets.
