After our visit to the KWE, it was disappointing to find out that our
front sub frame needed replacing. Anyway, I am glad to report, after
major surgery i e new front sub frame, all new bushes - the cat will live
on to see many more days!

Hi Phil

Well that was quick, who did it for you? how costly was it? and did you manage to source a new sub frame ok?

I am off to look at a convertible tomorrow so fingers crossed!

Hi Michael

We went to Stonely Jaguar Spares day, nothing suitable there, pick up some suitable bits for others jobs and mentioned to the Seller , who lived in East Grinstead. It turned out that he had a perfect second hand one. £120.00. I then took it to be Powder coated. On return I filled with Wax Oil and took it Ryall Garage to be fitted, by steve, who we spoke about
previously, ex Brown's Lane trained.
While this was being done I also replace all the bushes around the front end.

Not a lot of change out of £900.00

Regards

Phil

PS I hope the soft top turned out to be a good one.

That sounds like a really good deal and a job well done! Did the renewed bushes make any difference to the ride quality / handling?

Phil

I'm so pleased that you got sorted out and are happy with the result despite the expense - at least you have improved handling/performance which goes some way to easing the pain.

Best Wishes
Tony
