Evening,

Didn't know if had one before or how popular it maybe but thought would do a spotted thread.

If you see an XJS out and about let us know.

Two for me this month.

Bents Garden Centre, Culcheth, Wigan. A light metallic blue convertible. Was in mine as well and did the obligatory beep and nod.

Southport, Lord Street yesterday a V12 convertible at lunchtime. Looked nice example. Wasn't in mine that time.

If you see another xjs on your travels post it up maybe a member.

Cheers
John

Tesco carpark in Tenterden, Kent last Thursday. C reg red XJS-C, with a JEC sticker on the windscreen.
This thread does read a bit like the London Evening Standard page where lonely hearts post fleeting moments - "Red head on no 52 bus yesterday - you smiled. Meet for a coffee?"

Hythe beach yesterday 8am.

Great-looking car! I have it on good authority that the owner got quite sunburnt!

I think weather permitting going to Lytham on The Green on Sunday. (North West coast between Blackpool/Southport)
Charity show £15 entry pay on arrival its about an hour drive for me so Jag gets a good run if anyone at a loose end maybe worth swinging past you can just park local and enter for free i think only charge is if you want to park in the show.

At a show so slightly cheating, saw 3 further XJS today at Lytham.

A convertible, a late model coupe and a very early pre HE model. Plus mine of course.

Thanks for the pictures.
Does anyone know anything about the pre-HE? Looks like a well preserved car

After a two year layup mine is back on the road. Passed the MOT without any advisories so taxed and serviced.
First shakedown run today, only about 50 miles but it blew out the cobwebs and made the tyres round again, I had stored the car with elevated pressures but there was still a noticable vibration for a while. No major problems to report, just a few niggles to sort.

I'm guessing from the lack of posts generally that a lot of cars are still laid up and likely the owners thinking now it's September its not worth it. Actually this is a good time of the year to get it fettled and tested so that come the first rays of spring sunshine you can just tax it online and get going.

Hoping to spot more out and about, Pop

I've been rubbish recently used the car quite a bit but nothing picture worthy.

Have been to a few shows but not took the Jag due to lack of cup holder/phone charger and a wife and son who pretty much refuse to negotiate on that issue. Last weekends was the Southport Speed Trials car show was quite heavily on the vintage side and some very rare cars were present with a few modern. Few jags of course including what i assume is a replica D Type but the reg does date back to a 1957 Jaguar i've not done any digging / know much about them. Surrounded by some awesome E Types of course.

Had a few pics of the D Type and a rather nice AM DB5 and a drag racing E-type from Santa Pod i took a few weeks back but not sure if my new phone or the site but can't upload any images as too large.
