Hi chris yes seen that one looks like prices are starting to go up for good cars there again its only worth what some one is willing to pay i have seen a number of cabriolets for sale with nearly 12k price tags see this one at www.roberthughes.co.uk a v12 for £11995 having met this man on several occastions i do know he only sells the best so may be prices are getting more for these rare cars i do think that good xjs,s in general are begining to comand higher prices from dealers you only have to visit Clarkes jaguar webb site to see what i mean i do think that the prices given by JEC for condition do seem a bit low for good A+ cars what do other people think

I notice RobertHughes has a 1994 coupe for £11,500.

Personally, I do not think this car is worth that kind of money yet. I paid £6,500 a year ago for my 1994 coupe, J400 JAG on the gallery, as you will see is in very good condition, but not work £11,1/2 K

As you say, it would be interesting to have some views on prices for both coupe and carbrio's

If anyone is interested, I saw a nicely restored 88/F V12 convertable for sale in Jersey (garage next to the airport). Superficially the paintwork had been redone, the interior was very good. I didn't get underneath for a proper look though.

They were asking £9,999 and the attendant advised that it had been there "for a while" and you could probably get it for £9,000.

I thought about it briefly and realised I'd have a hell of a job getting through security............
