3.6-4.0 aj6

Posting this in general as couldn’t think of an appropriate section.

I’ve got a 1990 3.6 auto xjs.

I want to convert it to manual.

I’ve sourced a 4.0 aj6 engine and getrag 290 gearbox. With ECU.

Does anyone know if the 4.0 aj6 will fit into my 3.6? Engine mounts in the same location?

Will the parts associated with the getrag 265 work with the 290?

You might want to talk to these guys if you have not done so already. Pretty sure they had a supercharged 4.0 with manual transmission conversion a few years back. This is not a recommendation as I have not used them personally.
