Hello everyone, my first post here and i would welcome any advice, comments etc.
I have 1985 v12 xjs which has been converted to 5 speed manual, it has sports wheels which i believe are twr with 16" rims on the back and 15" fronts. It also has twr on the air filter intakes.
I have little history to the car and i was wondering how to find out about it. I don't think for one moment it is a proper twr conversion because there is no body kit, i would like to know if any fims did this sort of work.
Will try and post some pics.

hi,

congratulations on your purchase, and welcome aboard

firstly, i dont think that all TWR cars had a body kit, so it is possible that its a genuine car,

they may have just added the suspension and engine package etc to improve handling without adding the body kit to the car, you should still have the TWR/Sports steering wheel

as for history, go to the heritage section of this site , and for a small fee you can get the original delivery information/specification for the car, if you find a friendly dealership they may even print out this information for you with all the ' extra's ' it came with ,

hope this helps
