Some thoughts on the letter written on page 82 in the XJS section.
On an '89 I would expect the problem to be resolved with correct cleaning and setting of the stepper motor and throttle body, assuming there are no air leaks in the hoses or connections. For the writer to suggest his problem 'seems to be a recurring issue with these cars' is unfair, incorrect maintenance will result in recurring issues with any car.
Potential buyers of a late 3.6 could easily be put off by such comments, the later 3.6 with the 'microfueling' system is a fine, reliable engine.
Secondly the writers other question regarding front suspension caster has been completely ignored, there is no reply that I can see.

Do you think they straight up ignored the front suspension caster question, or just omitted to answer it by mistake?
