I saw that last week too. I console myself knowing that if a XJS specialist is selling at that price without restoring it, then it probably needs LOTS (££££'s) of love and attention - far more than I would be willing to bankroll. I hope it goes to someone who is willing to restore it back to its former glory. Even though it has those ugly bumpers, the fact it is a p-digital counts for a lot I think.

If I had a larger garage, I would deffo buy it on the credit card and then restore it over a period of time. I love this car...but the wife isn't impressed 'look at how big the bumpers are' etc...philistine. Ha ha, just realised you commented on that as well...philistine...

haha - if you like it that much then you should buy it! Only live once and all that You'd need to invest in some more car covers etc and a tow-bar and car trailer. This way you can trailer the XJ-S to car shows and wait for nerds like me to turn-up and comment on the p-digital system and those big bumpers

Has Andy dropped the price? I thought when I looked earlier in the week it was £7k but now it's £5k.
Or am I just losing it?

Rich, i can't buy it as 1) I'd really want it under cover and 2) the current love of my life (topaz xjs) would get jealous and things would start going wrong...it's the way of the universe.

BTW, what's the P digital thingy?

Plus if it has dropped in price circa £5k must be a bargain given the year and pre-HE status, however much work needs doing...famout last words...

http://www.jag-lovers.org/books/xj-s/07-FuelEFI.html Plenty of info there, but in short its believed to be the most powerful 5.3 V12 variant from the factory (i.e. without any after market tuning or TWR/Lister treatment).

CarSafe (http://www.carsafe.co.uk/) will look after your car(s) during the winter - at a price ...so you know you want that XJ-S....
