Hi all!
Whilst finding my way around my 1985 XJ-S I found these buttons under the dash board but I'm unaware what they do. The rectangular one works the horn continuously and the round one I have no idea what it does. Please advise if you know.
I have looked in the manual, no leads there.
What is this badge? Its regal but what does it represent?
Answers much appreciated.
Thanks

Mr DIY has been busy!
I would be worried what other electrical modifications he has done, I hope your fire insurance is up to date.
The badge is one of those coats of arms that matches his surname that are sold by tat tourist shops.

Maybe they are linked to DIY security. There are a few loose wires showing on your pictures, so I would be concerned at what has been done. I would remove the badge and replace it with a jaguar one.

The badge is an Austin badge from one of a number of cars such as an Austin 1100. I've no idea what it's doing in an XJS!!
As others have mentioned, those other switches are DIY. Trace the wires and then carefully rip them all out.
Cheers

Agreed, my first car was an Austin 1100 and had that badge on it.

Well spotted on the badge. Maybe the previous owner was named Austin?
I see in the 1st photo that there are other wires hanging loose.
