I have what my manual describes as a 1994.75 model xjs, I have been told that this model was only produced in limited numbers(aprox. 800) it is different to most late cars that I have seen as the interior is very similar to the celebration models but without the contrasting piping.
Can anyone confirm this or give me any more info

dh,
..wouldn't want to disappoint you!
tonye,
Welcome to the Bulletin Board! What a great car is a 1994.75 car, especially a Sapphire one! (I have one myself!). It's not quite as rare as you think, though. 1994.75 cars start at Vin 194775, which is when the AJ16 engine was first fitted. As you know, they have the later interior, audio system and air-con etc. The seats have the integral headrests and the car has the round gear-knob. The 4 litre cars have body-coloured mirrors and headlight surrounds and the 5-spoke diamond-turned alloys without the groove across each spoke. This spec lasted until Vin 198334 when a 1995.25 spec was introduced. The major change at this point was the introduction of a revised braking system with a different ABS accumulator & modulator plus vented rear disc brakes, replacing the outboard solid rear discs fitted to 1994.75 spec cars. The 1995.25 spec lasted until Vin 199999, then restarted at Vin 221001 and continued until 221854 at which point the Celebration was introduced. Celebrations have a number of trim differences, including wood & leather steering wheel, wooden gear knob and contrast piped seats with embossed leaper logos.
So, assuming that all available Vin nos were used, there would be about 3500 1994.75 spec cars produced although this includes a very small number of 6 litre cars. If one includes 1995.25 spec cars (which look exactly the same) there are about 6000 cars which have the integral headrests but aren't Celebrations. Of these cars, more than half are Convertibles.
Hope that helps.
Drive carefully,
Paul
