I have just been on a website which stated that there were 3862 V12 (XJ-S and XJS) Convertibles produced overall with 2500 of them in the UK.
Does anyone know if this is correct?
Thanks.
Brian

Brian,
I'm afraid that figure is way off. The official figures are:
13,197 pre-facelift 5.3 convertibles
3,674 facelift 5.3 convertibles
73 big-bumper 6.0 convertibles
76 "Celebration-type" 6.0 convertibles
I don't know the split between UK & Export models. I'll see if I can dig some figures out on that. One would expect that from 87-onwards, most US-spec vehicles were Convertibles.
Although there is a big price premium for them, Jaguar were producing more Convertibles than Coupes towards the end. For example more than 50% of all the 4.0 models prouced from 91-96 were Convertibles.
Hope that helps
Paul

Paul,
Many thanks for the information. Just goes to show you can't trust all you see on the Web. The URL for the site I saw the information on is:
