My headlining has just started to do the usual trick of sagging!
It is just above the drivers head about a foot square.
I don't know why Jaguars 'seem' to do it more than other cars but if I don't do something soon it will end up being a full panel out job!
So the question is can I glue it in situ?
If I could get the side rail off and peel it back do you think I could do something with it?
Oh yes..............how does that rail come off?

When the headlining came loose on my pre he V12 I found that I had to remove it to effect a repair. the side pieces are clipped on and as far as I remember just pulled off. when removing the headlining biscuit take extreme car as it is made up from a delicate fibreglass material and will break up round the edges. Any damage can be repaired with fibreglass kit. Be aware the biscuit must be smooth on its face. dont make any repairs on the face andkeep the thickness to the minimum. regards Kels

Check out the "Bodywork" section, this has been covered before in some detail.
In brief, you can execute a temporary repair (sprayglue etc.), but once it starts to go its either remove and re-trim, or replace.
Personally I favour the former, see my previous post. You then get a choice of colours and can go for a much lighter shade which does wonders for the interior. Cost approx £215.00 three years ago (ish)

I tired the bodywork section but couldn't find anything but then I noticed a new section under 'using the Forums BB' where webman had archived some previous articles. What a great idea!
Found some more useful info'

I have found copydex works well, although that was on headlining that had come away from the biscuit, I would imagine that on yours the headlining material will have parted company with the fibre backing.
Still, might be worth a shot. You shouldn't have to remove the headlining altogether, as you say it can be unclipped.
Do not bring the headlining back together too quickly after application otherwise it will come through, let it go semi dry first. It made a strong job on mine, much better than spray glue.
