Though this might be of interest if you haven't seen it; the graphic doesn't seem to reflect the copy, but I may just be being dim.

Thanks for that. I think we've all seen values on the up for a while but it's good to see it appearing in print. If it becomes the accepted norm that XJS prices are going up then the self fulfilling prophecy will take over!
I guess the scrappage scheme cleared out a good few cars that were runners but not economic to restore and money tends to come into the classic car market when the economy is troubled and interest rates are low.
As values increase then we'll start to see more cars being restored than being scrapped and maybe we'll even start to see the "barn finds" coming out of the woodwork because they're worth restoring. Then we will all have to be careful of the cars that have been badly restored in back-street workshops to make a quick buck.

I had a telephone interview from Classic Car magazine ( i think , lol i was at work ) looking for quotes about the XJS and how to maintain and enhance it in a feature they will be running very soon ,

but i think the XJS has finally become recognised for the car it is, and not the E-Type it wasn't

We've all known the XJS was a star and a classic waiting in the wings, it's taken twenty five years since we bought our first 84 V12 for the market to catch up.
Unfortunately I don't own one anymore having opted for something smaller, more modern and more powerful.
But......we all know how classic Jag prices go and the gorgeous XJS will go ballistic soon as the very last dodgy ones dissappear and the lovely remainders become more and more desirable.
If you don't have one buy one
If you do have one, cherish it, it's a great investment
If you have a ropey one, improve it......
I can remember when E types were £10,000 and dodgy 1950's XK's were less, how times change.......
.......the XjS is a classic about to shine, jump on board now or miss the boat.
V Best
BTW the SLK shone up the Hillclimb at Prescott but no pics or vids strangely........ :D :D :D
