A classic car gathering in Pembroke

I had the great fortune to be invited by the Pembrokeshire classic car club to join one of their recent evening gatherings. A jolly time was had by all with a raffle, a BBQ with bar and attended by the Mayor of Pembroke and the town cryer. The event raised a useful amount of cash for their local charity.

Along with vehicles of all ages and makes, Jaguars there included an E Type coupe, an (older) S Type, an (older) Daimler V8, a facelift XJS convertible, and my humble 3.6

It was a great evening, my thanks go to the club officials and members for their hospitality and warm welcome. For any JEC members in the South West Wales area I would certainly recommend they get involved and support this club.

I wonder if parking an XJS behind an e-type provoked negative comments for the XJS re styling, reliability etc if compared by the uninitiated...

LOL! That's why XJS should park alone to be admired in isolation. What the pic does not show is the fine collection of S-Type and X300's that were parked adjacent to us in this pretty corpse at the Crich Tramway yesterday (see XJ40/X300 events section); http://www.tramway.co.uk/

What it doesn't show is Rich's youngsters standing on the edge of a steep drop (just behind his XJS), admiring the view!!
