If anyone is interested, the xj-s that Ian Ogilvy drove in the Return of the Saint is now being restored by Practical Classics in their staff car sagas section.
It doesn't look good in the first instalment in the April edition.

I wonder how they got hold of it?? it was owned by a guy who had a lot of "TV cars", I haven't published his name as he is quite a private guy. But the story goes the car was lost for many many years in the north of Scotland, WRONG!!!, It was owned by a good mate of mine Jim MacMillan in Voe, Shetland all through the 1990's and into the 200o's. Jim used the car a lot, I drove the car many times while he owned it, quite a beasty of a thing to, throttles used to jam open, Somewhere there is an out-take on a video of me rolling out from underneath the thing when I considered buying it, it was rotten even back then!!

It could well be that it is still owned by him... it appears that the PC team are getting back into roadworthy condition on his behalf... with a potential full restoration to follow.
They, the PC team, got a hold of it last November straight from the Classic Motor Show and it is intended to be on the 2016 PC Classic and Restoration Show stand in March.
