Steve
We were at Brands Hatch last year in the stand on Sunday directly opposite Gails terrible fiery smash, it was frightening to watch, you must have followed on ?
Any reason why this is edited from your footage?
I know that in this day and age it may be politically incorrect to show these things, is that the reason?

Hi

I had already finished the race when this had happened. But I do have the footage of the accident, from the on-board camera in Gail's Car.

It was a very nasty accident that I thought would not be correct to put in the video. Paul and Gail were very lucky to survive a smash like that.

It was a miracle that anyone could survive such an incident. Full respect to the marshalls and safety crew at Brands. Here is a photo I took as the wreck was being removed.

Thank You.

But I will share some pictures of the aftermath. You will see that it was a big shunt.

Postby xjs6000 » Tue Apr 18, 2006 5:53 am

I'm definitely going to be at Snetterton on the Monday, not sure about the Sunday yet.
I'll be sure to drop by to say hello and wish you success.

Cheers,
Glenn.

Thanks for coming to watch the racing Glenn. And all your support over the two days.

We hope you enjoyed it. You could see that Kevin and I did.

Hopefully see you again very soon :D

Hi Steve,

It was a superb weekend and I thoroughly enjoyed the racing. Your battle with Kevin in his XJ12 coupe was a highlight with a quite spectacular end. I've never seen a head gasket fail in such an impressive manner  I hope the XJ12 didn't suffer any serious engine damage.
I look forward to seeing the video.

It was great to meet you, Kevin and the team, thank you for making me so welcome in the paddock. Your XJ-S is quite a beast.

I probably won't make it to Croft or Donington, but I'll be at Cadwell and Brands in July.

For anyone who hasn't been to one of these race meetings before, I can thoroughly recommend it for a couple of days' entertainment. Beats F1 hands down.

Thank you again for the entertainment.
Regards,
Glenn.

I hope to post the Snetterton 2006 video sometime this week.

We will be at Donington this Sunday (4th June) if anyone is interested to come and watch. Feel free to look us up in the Paddock.

At work I feared something terrible when one of the big bosses called me into the office, However the conversation took an unexpected note:-

'You like cars dont you'

'Yes'

'Do you want a ticket to watch the classic racing next week at Donnington?'

:D

So looks like I'll be there!
CLEAN old '87 XJ-S 3.6 manual (for sale!)

Just to say that I had a great day at Donington today, it was a pleasure to meet Steve and have a nosey at the cars in the Paddock, and the racing was superb. No doubt Steve will post footage on his website; It will be well worth watching!

It was the first race meeting I've been to, it certainly won't be the last! 8)
