Hi, Well done it looks a lot different to when I saw it last, that is when i collected the down pipe from you. I love the mullberry seats. I think the high level lights are a good safety feature.
I have fitted the downpipe after much swearing and cursing.
if you want a run out I live a few miles from Llandrindod Wells..
Regards Kels.

Re: 8 year project nearing completion

been hobbling around the car today , got that bored i had to do something, even with a bad leg , got my son to help me pop on the front bumper, and installed some new indicators, the rubber bumper seals are original 23 year old ones , they came up nice didnt they ,

just a little tinkering left to do now, as in some injector connectors to be soldered onto the loom ,balance the throttle bodies , some new radius arm brackets to be fitted ,
erm ,
erm ,
oh ,
the radius arm locking tabs to be bent over , and set the headlight beam pattern,
some new tyres on my refurbished wheels ( Pirelli p-zero rosso 235/45/17 )
existing number-plates will be stuck on for now , and the private plate will go on after the MOT
and she is on the road

BB,
I'm hugely enjoying seeing the pics of the refit. It does feel almost emotional now seeing the car in the shiny flesh with lights and interior, having seen pics of welded floorpans etc for what seems like so many years. I can only begin to think what it must feel like for you seeing your pride and joy come to life with so much of your own effort being an integral part of it.
I'm sure it's going to be a great magazine article........

Re: 8 year project nearing completion
thanks ladz
.
the car is an original white car with Mulberry interior , the only real change from original spec is the adding of a genuine TWR bodykit , a good original heavy fibreglass one, not a plastic copy ,
i want to do two of next years shows , but dont know if i apply , or need to be invited ,
the main one will be the Classic Car Show at the NEC next November , and depending on distance, the main JEC show in the year

Re: 8 year project nearing completion
Hi BB,
You don't need to be invited to any of the JEC shows
. For 2013, there will be a return to the separate northern and southern shows. If you have a desire to display in the forum area at any of these shows, please let me know and I'll enquire...
Cheers, Rich

Having attended the NEC this year, I'll look forward to seeing the car there next year and hopefuly before that.
