Speedometer changing on a XJS 95

I`m living in Norway and our speedometers runs in Kmh. As my XJS 95 mod.is fitted with one in mph i`ll like to change it for an instrument from a 1996 XJR.
Anyone who knows if that speedometer will fit into my XJS instrumentpanel and what I have to do to make it work?

Hi,
Jaguar only ever supplied the complete instrument pack as a unit so it's not possible to check out your question using individual part numbers for the instruments. However, if you are already prepared to tease the instrument pack apart to swap the speedos, why not get an instrument repairer to simply change the face of your XJS speedo to one reading in kph? It might be easier. Another suggestion is to contact one of the importers of LHD cars to the UK (advertising in the magazine) and purchase a (redundant) instrument pack from them? Mike.

The part number for a facelift XJS kph speedo is DAC 6464 (the mph one is DAC 6465)

As Mike mentioned, it may be easier to just change the face. A couple of companies do this sort of thing. Here's one I found quite easily selling a kph face for an XJS facelift speedo

You will of course also need to change the odometer.
