XJS Hatchback

Postby carpediem2000455 » Wed Oct 07, 2020 2:33 pm

Has anyone else seen this car, advertised on Gumtree. Looks like a very professional conversion, and a most useful car - all the advantages of an XJS, plus being able to take several sets of golf clubs - or perhaps wetsuits and dive tanks.

carpediem2000455,

That's Mike Sharman's original Hatchback conversion. He's built 2 of them. That was the first one, and then he built one in TWR two-tone colours a few years ago. Both of them are beautifully-engineered and built cars. A real tribute to Mike's skills.

There's plenty pf posts here in the Forum that relate to Mike's conversions. They've also been featured in our own club mag and also in Jaguar World Monthly. Do a search on the forum here for author "JaguarMike" and you'll find a number of his threads.

Cheers

I've seen this car and it is an extremely well executed conversion. As Paul says, this is a well known car and plenty has been written about it
