Jaguar X300 XJR - Buying advice required.

Postby Jon » Mon Aug 28, 2006 5:22 pm

Probably not the best forum to ask in, but I'm sure they'll be some knowledge here 8)

I'm the winning bidder on a 95 XJR on ebay, I have agreed with the seller that I can still walk away should I not like the vehicle, and I won't buy it unless it will pass an MOT (arranging to have it MOT'ed now) Is there any common faults / money pits I need to watch out for on these cars?

Thanks, Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,

You lucky thing !!! I'd like one of those X300-XJR's myself.

I gather there's a common X300 problem whereby the bumper brackets can rust and the bumpers then fall off, so get that checked out.

If you don't get any advice here then try

They should be able to help.
