Hello DH,
Are you getting lonely?

It is normal for us fenland folk. We get used to it. The big skies make up for it though.

Hi Glenn
Well, I don't know about lonely but the Forum does seem to be quiet at present. Perhaps that's good because people don't have any problems (new ones that is) with their motors! Nonetheless it's nice to know theres someone out there.... :D

"Big skies and open roads" from my limited experience of motoring in your part of the world, although you can hit some unexpected hazards at speed...I remember heading down towards Soham from Downham Market on a nice straight minor road at about 60-.....ish when suddenly it became a switchback like the big dipper (obviously no warning signs of any kind) - wheels off the ground and bump stops thrashing, it was quite entertaining until I got a grip :? The thing is I didn't want to brake too hard on the upslopes for fear of ripping the spoiler off or worse going ploughing with the subframe!! and the wavelength was just "wrong"for the xjs
I think it must have been some sort of weird banded subsidence. I've certainly treated the roads thereabouts with more repect since that.

btw We've spent most of today crawling around the West Country in Bank Holiday traffic, I don't think my suggestion of a trip to Chard (SKJagtec) was one of my better ideas, I really should have known better :(
Best Wishes
