Panhard rods and anti tramp bars
As far as I know - Panhard rods are used to stop the axle shifting left to right or right to left under the car, I doubt the Jaguar IRS would suffer from this really.
Anti tramp bars are for stopping spring wind up/twist on leaf spring rear suspension cars, again the Jaguar IRS doesn't need them.

Panhard rods and anti tramp bars
Thats interesting,
Was thinking about it after seeing a xjs advertised on internet, maybe ebay.
It had a (harvey) bailey? anti tramp kit fitted to it, amongst other fancy parts.
Looked to me like some kind of cross bracing in kind of an x or h shape, fitted to the underside of the car, i think somewhere in between the front and rear sub frames.
Maybe one of the guru's from the other forums might be clued up about panhard rods, as i think i saw some advertised somewhere for one of the other models, might have been for the 120 or 140 or mk2 or summat like that.
Dont quote me on that they might not even be proper model numbers, i only concentrate on butress'ed jags.

A panhard rod is used to locate a live axle. The IRS on our Jags does not need one of these. IIRC the Havey Bailey kit consists of a cross brace under the IRS to stiffen things up a bit. I believe Jaguar fitted a similar arrangement as standard on the later convertibles.
